Step 1: Baby Brachiosaurus Crochet Pattern
This dinosaur amigurumi is the original design of my 13-year-old daughter. She has been crocheting with me for about two years, and she loves coming up with her own ideas. She made this brachiosaurus as a gift for a little boy she babysits. I was so smitten by it, I asked her if I could write up the pattern and publish it online. Pattern is for those with beginner-to-intermediate crochet skills and basic needle-work skills. Doll parts are made in spiral rounds. To make doll, you will need to know how to:
-- read a crochet pattern
-- chain
-- slip stitch
-- single crochet
-- single crochet decrease or invisible decrease
Pattern includes:
-- definitions of stitch abbreviations
-- materials list, including recommended yarn brands and colors and where to find materials
-- links to helpful online crochet tutorials
-- helpful color photos
Finished doll is about 7 inches (17 cm) tall and stands on its own. You will need a D/3.25mm or E/3.5mm hook, (2) 9mm black eye posts with safety backs, polyester fiberfill, and worsted weight 100% acrylic yarn in any color. Recommended yarn brands are Lion Brand Vanna's Choice, Loops & Threads Impeccable Worsted, or Red Heart Super Savers.
Pattern is a PDF (Portable Document Format: a printable, read-only file viewable with Adobe Reader or similar document viewer).
