Step 1: Cloud Dough

Let me introduce you to an extra 15 minutes of your life you didn't know were there because your kids monopolize any free moment you can manage. Two words. Cloud Dough. We should really rename it to Cloud 9 Dough, because while they'll be having a sensory blast with the dough, you can sit back and relax.

Using only two ingredients you probably already have in your pantry, and about 5 minutes, you can make this amazing child-pleaser. It's absolutely great for any age. Just make sure they don't eat (too) much of it.

Let's get started!

Step 2: Putting it all together

You will need

8 Parts white flour
1 Part of vegetable or baby oil (don't worry, they don't really make it out of babies)

I used 8 cups of the flour and 1 cup of the oil

Pour it all into a bowl or container

Step 3: Mixing/ Playing

This is where it gets fun. For you anyway.

Using your hands, thoroughly mix and kneed the two ingredients together. This usually take a couple of minutes, but I totally understand if you're having too much fun to stop there.

You know you're done when the dough begins to get mildly clumpy, and maintains its shape when squeezed and formed.

Although this stuff is loads of fun on its own, if you want to incorporate extras, I suggest silicone ice/cookie molds, measuring cups and spoons, or pretty much just anything that cloud dough can be stuffed into/ piled on top of.

Step 4: Storing

Store the cloud dough for future play in an airtight container. Really, this stuff doesn't go bad. You know you'll need to toss it when it gets impossible debris in it.
